    ayumi
    hello

    haven't been updated much, right

i'm still working on ayu biography

anyway i though today i would write more about ayumi

later on i've been thinking on why ayumi is the best
sometimes i feel any other music act can touch me as much as ayumi does. some of them have some good songs and rest are pure crap whereas ayumi has not many horrible songs in fact i can listen almost all of her songs many times in row.
i think she has changed me as a person for instance

    - i used to wear black all time but now i try to avoid black as much as possible

-i've started to write my own lyrics and expressing my feelings through them. i really apreciate musician who writes their lyrics because then they bring something from themselves.

    - i'm more interested to study japanese. well i had interest before but when ayumi came along i wanted to study more the language she thinks and writes. not only that i want to translate her lyrics in finnish straigh from japanese. i think that when translating a english text that was originally released in another language you loose the meaning of original writing.

    anyway why i love ayumi

sometimes i find really hard to answer that. most simple answer would be her music is good.
but deeper than that i really don't know these points i have apart from music

    -her live performances

her shows are interesting and what's more she sings mostly live. even when she lipsynches it's mostly one or two lines on two or three songs and only rarely she has lipsynched whole song.

    - her personality

i think she has really amazing personality. she's just simply cute

    her music videos

i really love her music videos. they're not some ass shaking and about her look
in fact most of them are surreal like alterna and marionette and simple like daybreak and HEAVEN and gorgeous like CAROLS and part of Me

anyway i though this would be all
thank you for reading and go listen ayumi, おねがい

    FIC: The Letter
    Rating: 7+ (For everyone)
Disclaimers/Legal Notice: Nicolas and Natalie aren't mine. Those who they belong to shouldn't sue, as I'm not profiting off of this... plus, I'm broke anyway.
Commentary: This little ditty was inspired by reading George Sand's farewell letter to her former lover, Alfred de Musset, in the original French. Both were two of the most popular French writers during the 19th Century. Despite the sadness of these lovers parting, the letter George penned to her beloved Alfred is considered the most beautiful love letter in the world.
Archival Note: This work will be archived on my writings website in the future. Anyone else, please drop me a line.

Summary: Nick's farewell letter to his mortal love, Natalie.

The feeling I have for you is too beautiful, too pure, too sweet for me to ever let any harm come to you on account of my nature. )

Comments, constructive criticisms and kleenexes welcome. Flames will be used to burn the love letters people are willing to part with.

    Nick Knight, Vampire Cop (Fangoria)
As a special treat to my fellow FK fans, I thought I'd type up this article taken from the book Vampires, published by Fangoria magazine in 1996. Other articles archived within the book include stories on Interview With The Vampire, Bram Stoker's Dracula (starring Gary Oldman), The Lost Boys, I Am Legend, and much more. There's also one-on-one interviews with Anne Rice, Chris Sarandon, Tom Cruise, Quentin Tarantino and Winona Ryder.

But I had originally got the book myself because I had flipped through it in a bookstore and found the article Nick Knight, Vampire Cop. The moment I saw that, I was sold. Now, for your own reading pleasure, here's that article, complete and taken directly from the book:

Flying, fanging, moral conflicts: What better way to fill an hour, for a vampire or an actor? )

You can order the book new or used from the Amazon Marketplace.

    Ack!
I'm already two days behind on my NaNo novel. This is not good. I need to whip myself into shape.

Fortunately, two days behind isn't that bad. Fortunately. And I've told my inner editor to shut the hell up and wait till December. That kinda helps.

And it's 6 in the morning where I am, so I'm starting bright and early today to see how much I can write throughout the day.

Oh, and obligatory plot description (short form): Girl meets vamp, they fall in love, and it pisses off the rest of the vampire community. Girl is now pregnant with hybrid baby, and has a death warrant to her name because the current ruler is pissed about it, as there's a prophecy involved saying this kid'll be the vampire version of Jesus.

So basically, plot-wise, I've stripped my long-ago (and I do mean long-ago) aborted FK fic "Sins of the Father" down to its most essential parts, and made it a non-FK story. But there'll be enough FK/generic-vampire references and in-jokes. And I tend to like adding pop culture digs into my work too, sometimes. The long form ones, anyway.

Just ask my DarkLight/Goetica writing partner CaddyWack, and she'll tell you how I roll in fic-creation. It's actually much easier to write with a partner, but this one (the NaNo) has to be all me. And that's what I find overwhelming, because on my own I'm better at short stories than at novel-size ones. But I want to be a proper author, so I need to train myself to "go the distance", as it were. That's why I signed on to NaNo in the first place. To prove to myself that I can hack writing novel-length stories.

I better shut up and get back to writing. But hey, actually talking about it in my LJ has kinda bolstered my enthusiasm back to its proper levels. So yay! :D
